Engagement Director: Global Brand and Design Consultancy

Our client is brand consultancy, based in London, New York City and San Francisco. The company’s purpose is to create transformative brands that push what’s possible for people, businesses and the world, exploring new ways of doing things and using creativity to make a difference. 

They currently seek an Engagement Director to join their team and play a key role in supporting and growing the company, working across multiple pieces of business and creating and leading successful long-term strategic partnerships with prospective, new and existing clients. The Engagement Director will also work with Senior Engagement Managers and Engagement Managers to deliver high-quality work balancing client objectives and the company’s and identifying the fastest path to value for both. 

Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for client’s CMO/C-suite, leading large-scale transformations and developing a long-term relationship for growth opportunities across the company 

- Direct the strategy for the company and the client, leading strategic business conversations, facilitating key workshops, appropriately managing client expectations and feedback,  and confidently presenting at the c-suite level

- Build the right internal team to meet client needs and take responsibility for the output to the client and the company 

- Support and direct the engagement management team, offering mentorship, training and empowerment, as well as supporting senior leadership on pillar projects

- Responsible for contribution to new business opportunities, small project briefs

through to large scale transformations, pitches and anticipating new market opportunities and upcoming launches

- Accountable to the business for the financial health and growth of clients reporting on successes and opportunities throughout the company, clients and other members of the community and leading difficult financial conversations when necessary

- Be a strong external advocate and networker within the industry

- Attend and participate in key marketing events and activities

- Look for opportunities to push and develop the company’s offering and presence in the wider world of branding consultancy

- Start to develop specialism and POV within the business

Requirements:

- 8-12 years of experience, ideally in an advertising or branding agency

- Have experience in leading medium-sized brand transformations

- Be confident in running pillar client relationships

- Have be able to demonstrate growth of client relationships

- Have worked on successful new business initiatives

- Be confident in presenting in meetings and pitches

- Have some experience in mentoring within the community

- Have a clear point of view on the role of brands

-Highly organized in approach to multiple tasks, prioritizing delivery against multiple programs

-Enjoy working at a fast pace 

- Expert at building, networking and managing long-lasting relationships 

- Skilled in understanding both the client’s high-level brand and position in the industry against granular program needs 

- Comfortable with presenting directly to clients in person and online

- Have a flexible work style tailoring approach to different client/team needs and presenting optimism in the face of new challenges

- Willing to be inquisitive, confident, persuasive and articulate

- A common sense approach identifying, improving systems and processes, coping well with feedback, uncertainty and setbacks

- A leader with integrity and strong ethical compass
