Senior Strategist: Global Beverage Brand, Design and Strategy Agency

 

Location: New York, NY Remote

Our client is a global branding, design and strategy studio partnering with the best and most ambitious beverage brands in the world, with offices in Glasgow and New York. The agency prides itself on doing things differently from the quality of thinking and up front investment in strategy, its global team chosen for their expertise rather than location and its proactive approach to developing and delivering consistent, amazing, creative solutions that sell no matter the channel. 

They seek a sharp, inspirational and passionate Senior Strategist with strong experience in the beverage and branding industries to play a pivotal part in strengthening the strategic prowess within the business, industry, and specifically in New York as it grows its client base. The Senior Strategist will report directly to the team’s UK-based Strategy Director. The ideal candidate will have multidisciplinary strategy experience in the beverage and branding industries, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a finger on the cultural pulse of what’s relevant. 

 Responsibilities:

- Owns and leads delivery and growth creating clear and compelling strategic solutions across multiple disciplines, developing strong, simple hot brand ideas, innovation, diagnostics, campaign and messaging strategies and collaborating with other strategists to fill in any knowledge gaps

- Writes and delivers briefs that inspire and challenge creative teams to create strong, simple, work, when appropriate using a broad range of case studies to provoke and shape creative thinking internally and externally

- Acts as a clear voice of strategy in client project briefings, meetings and research conversations

- Develops, facilitates and moderates workshops with senior stakeholders

- Evaluate and enhance compelling big ideas and articulate how they act as brand touchpoints

- Implement, develop and adapt strategic tools in response to client, brand and brief’s needs

- Actively seek ways and channels to push the creative work further through a clear and comprehensive assessment of the brand's media mix and its performance against competition

- Assist in crafting proposals and defining strategic scopes of work & optimizing resource allocation for maximum value

- Brief and collaborate with freelancers to manage project overflow

Requirements:

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Brand Strategy in an agency environment

- Experience working with Beverage Brands

- Exceptional visual and verbal communicator communicating confidently and clearly at all levels and creating persuasive and creative briefs and presentations that get heads nodding as well as hearts racing

- Skilled at stakeholder management; building strong relationships through commercial understanding

- Expert insight-miner, well versed in making the complex simple

- Displays positivity, a can-do attitude and a sharp entrepreneurial spirit

- Displays integrity, honesty, reliability, responsiveness and openness to build trust both with clients and with the wider studio

- Well organized and enjoys acting autonomously within a supportive network

- Promotes collaboration and fosters strategic thinking across clients and the studio teams
