Associate Strategy Director, Experience: Global Brand and Design Consultancy

Our client is brand consultancy, based in London, New York City and San Francisco. The company’s purpose is to create transformative brands that push what’s possible for people, businesses and the world, exploring new ways of doing things and using creativity to make a difference. 

They currently seek an Associate Strategy Director of Experience to join their team to help shape projects with a clear view into the user experience and journey, skillfully navigating brand architecture and experience issues and delivering consistently as the go-to experience expert on the team. The Associate Strategy Director of Experience will be hands-on and versatile, going deep into the experience and brand to ensure insights and recommendations have a tangible image, provide real-world perspective and offer user-centric insight. 

Responsibilities:

- Directly shape the approach to experience strategy on brand strategy and design projects

- Partner with brand strategists and brand designers internally and among clients

- Have a strong grasp on experience strategy fundamentals like mapping customer journeys, articulating experience principles, and developing brand ecosystems

- Be able to lead aspects of new business pitches

- Work across multiple projects - up to three at any one time

- Help complement and cross-train strategy team members by introducing them to new experience skills, tools and approaches

- Create notional mock-ups and comps that bring your thinking to life

- Identify where experience strategy would add value to new/existing projects

- Build your leadership skills so that you can shape and guide other team members

Requirements:

- 5-8 years of experience

- Have sufficient UX experience across all fundamental aspects of experience strategy to comfortably partner with brand strategists on projects and build trust with client

- Bring a wide range of experience strategy and design tools, skills and methods to help you manage and deal with ambiguous and complex client challenges, and be able to bring your ideas to life with tangible demonstrations, mock-ups and comps

- Able to communicate effectively in writing and in person, being persuasive and articulate while listening to others 

- Enjoy expanding your network and quickly establishing rapport with your team and clients, with an interest in beyond transactional interactions to bringing everyone on the journey with you

- Quickly understand core issues, learning at pace and taking the initiative to gain further insight from multiple mediums

- See challenges and opportunities, and thrive in bringing clarity to ambiguity.

- Receptive to feedback, actively encouraging others to critique work to push it forward.

- Work well under pressure and feel comfortable speaking and answering questions in a variety of settings and audiences
