Senior Director, Brand Marketing: Viral Luxury Blanket Start Up

Our client is a prestigious fast-growing, design-driven brand creating the world’s most loved faux-fur blankets. With a devoted community, strong influencer presence, and rapid scale, they are redefining what comfort and style mean for the home.
They currently seek a Senior Director of Brand Marketing to serve as a key leadership partner, reporting to the Head of Brand Marketing and help drive the next phase of brand growth. This role will support the Brand Marketing team while the Head of Brand is on maternity leave.
This role will support the Brand Marketing organization — translating brand vision into cohesive, high-impact campaigns and ensuring alignment across creative, social, PR, partnerships, community, and content teams.
The Senior Director will oversee cross-functional execution, elevate brand storytelling, and help scale processes, planning, and performance across all brand touchpoints. This individual is both a strategic thinker and an exceptional executor who thrives in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Execution
- Partner closely with the Head of Brand Marketing to shape and execute overarching brand strategy
- Translate brand vision into integrated marketing initiatives and campaigns
- Ensure consistency and excellence across all brand expressions and customer touchpoints
- Lead seasonal and campaign planning across channels
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Management
- Lead Senior Managers & below within the Brand Marketing team
- Drive alignment between creative, social, PR, influencer, and partnerships initiatives
- Establish clear workflows, priorities, and accountability structures
- Mentor and develop team members to elevate performance and collaboration
Campaign & Project Leadership
- Manage campaigns while partnering cross functionally with Performance Marketing, Product, & Operations
- Own integrated campaign execution from concept through launch
- Ensure timelines, deliverables, and brand standards are met
- Improve cross-team planning rhythms and operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities to amplify campaigns across multiple channels - quarterback tentpole sales and high volume moments throughout the year
Brand Growth & Innovation
- Identify new opportunities to expand brand reach and cultural relevance
- Collaborate with Growth/Performance teams to ensure brand and performance alignment
- Use insights and data to refine brand marketing approaches
- Champion creative innovation while maintaining brand consistency
Operational Excellence
- Build scalable systems, processes, and planning frameworks for the brand team
- Help prioritize initiatives based on business impact
- Support budget planning and resource allocation
- Serve as escalation point for cross-functional challenges
Requirements:
- 8–12+ years of experience in brand marketing, integrated marketing, or creative marketing leadership
- Experience managing multidisciplinary brand or creative teams
- Strong background in campaign development and execution
- Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels
- Experience in consumer, lifestyle, DTC, or premium brand environments preferred
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Highly collaborative leadership style
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving company
